Technical / Functional Skills 

• Expert in Korn Scripting/Programing 
• Experience Linux/UNIX based systems
• Experience programming in Linux/UNIX based shell scripts
• Overall 8+ years of IT experience

 

Experience Required

• Experience working with Java applications, Windows, and Linux platforms
• Experience with Database systems (Sybase, Oracle)
• Experience in triaging production issues and identifying root cause and corrective actions.
• Expert scripting skills (Linux shell)
• Takes ownership of escalations and directs analysis, research, and resolution.
• Ability to solve production down situations under tight SLA deadlines.
• Strong UNIX Solaris / Linux systems administration skills.
• Strong Experience administering, migrating, installing, upgrading, and configuring
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with management of SSL, TLS, data encryption, and certificates.
• Strong scripting experience (Shell, Perl, Python).
• Basic understanding of networking.
• Experience identifying and troubleshooting system issues in an operational environment.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Korn Shell scripts to monitor and trigger database health status 
• Work with team members to design innovative software programs that improve and simplify experience for customers
• Strong Python or shell scripting expertise required.
• Experience with Linux / Unix administration required.
• Knowledge system maintenance like back-up, recovery, etc. desired
• Excellent verbal and written English language skills required.
• Ability to collaborate with offshore teams.
