Roles and Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into detailed technical designs.
• Develop high-quality, scalable Kafka streaming applications using Java Spring Boot.
• Perform unit testing and integrate automated unit testing frameworks to ensure code quality.
• Configure and manage Kafka clusters, topics, producers, and consumers.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams for deployment on OpenShift or Kubernetes platforms.
• Identify potential risks in design or implementation and plan mitigation strategies.
• Review code and provide constructive feedback to peers to uphold coding standards.
• Adhere to coding best practices and standards to maintain software quality and performance.
• Conduct configuration management and version control of your own deliverables.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams for end-to-end solution delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in Kafka streaming and Java Spring Boot application development.
• Hands-on experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes container orchestration platforms.
• Familiarity with distributed caching solutions such as Redis.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Required Skills

• Apache Kafka (Kafka Streams, Kafka Connect, or similar technologies)
• Java application development with Spring Boot framework
• Experience with OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) or other Kubernetes platforms.
• Distributed caching solutions such as Redis.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and event-driven design.
