Role and Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and maintenance of COBOL applications.
• Support and troubleshoot existing COBOL systems, identifying and resolving issues.
• Collaborate with senior consultants to understand client requirements and provide technical solutions.
• Write, test, and debug COBOL code to meet project specifications.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
• Document code changes and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
• Assist in the migration and integration of legacy systems with modern technologies.

Required Qualifications/Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of COBOL programming language and its application in business environments.
• Familiarity with mainframe systems and related technologies (e.g., JCL, DB2).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
