Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications utilizing service-oriented architecture (SOA) principles.
• Implement business process management (BPM) solutions to optimize workflow and operational efficiency.
• Utilize web concepts including HTML, JavaScript, XML, AJAX, and JSP to create dynamic user interfaces.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Apply knowledge of data modeling techniques to design and implement effective database structures.
• Develop and execute SQL queries and stored procedures in relational database management systems (RDBMS).
• Employ object-oriented development concepts to create maintainable and reusable code structures.
• Collaborate with team members to conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Work with application server technologies, preferably WebSphere, to deploy and manage applications in a production environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues related to application servers.
• Utilize Unix/Linux command-line tools for application deployment and system management.
• Perform necessary scripting and automation tasks to streamline processes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Java development with a solid understanding of SOA and BPM.
• Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, XML, AJAX, JSP).
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts.
• Experience with application servers, particularly WebSphere.
• Proficiency in RDBMS concepts, including writing queries and stored procedures.
• Comfortable working in Unix/Linux environments.
• Experience with cloud-based solutions and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
