Roles and Responsibilities

• Person who can help drive and set architectural direction, designing a new system using kafka from the ground up and mentoring current team members.
• Design and develop solution for the current project through cloud-hosted Java Microservices/Kafka streams.
• Design UI layout and develop the back end framework.
• Create databases to work in conjunction with the application.
• Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software.
• Create security and data protection settings.

Required Qualifications/Skills

• Knowledge of the existing Optum Health Care Platform team, infrastructure and processes is definitely a plus.
• 8+ years of Strong experience with java, Spring Boot, Spring Batch.
• 8+ years of Experience hosting micro services on cloud environment.
• Specifically, experience in OpenShift / Kubernetes.
• Experience with Docker container management.
• Experience in GCP cloud.
• 8+ Years of experience with Kafka Producer, Kafka Consumer and Kafka Streams.
• 8+ Years of experience with database such as MySQL, Oracle, etc.
