Java Full Stack Architect

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Java Full Stack Architect to lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and Microservices. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in payment applications, distributed systems, cloud environments, and modern DevOps practices, along with the ability to provide technical leadership across engineering teams.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, development, and deployment of enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and Microservices.

• Design and implement secure, scalable REST APIs and event-driven architectures.

• Collaborate with business, product, architecture, and operations teams to deliver technology transformation initiatives.

• Ensure applications meet requirements for performance, security, scalability, reliability, and high availability.

• Lead code reviews and establish engineering standards, best practices, and development guidelines.

• Provide technical mentoring and guidance to development teams.

• Support CI/CD pipelines, cloud deployments, and DevOps practices.

• Lead technical discussions and contribute to architecture and solution design decisions.

• Troubleshoot complex application and production issues and drive effective resolutions.

• Collaborate with distributed Agile teams and manage technical communication with key stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in software development and architecture.

• Strong expertise in:

  • Java

  • Spring Boot

  • Microservices

  • Angular

  • TypeScript

  • REST APIs

• Experience designing and developing payment applications and transaction-processing systems.

• Knowledge of payment domains and standards such as ACH, Wire, SWIFT, RTP, ISO 20022, card payments, and merchant payments.

• Strong experience with Oracle and/or PostgreSQL.

• Experience with Apache Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and Jenkins.

• Exposure to Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Strong understanding of application security, payment security, compliance, and transaction processing.

• Experience working with Agile development methodologies and distributed engineering teams.

• Strong stakeholder communication, technical leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading large-scale payment modernization or digital transformation initiatives.

• Experience with event-driven and distributed system architectures.

• Experience implementing highly available and fault-tolerant enterprise applications.

• Experience with cloud-native application development and DevOps automation.
