Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain microservices using Java 8, Spring Boot, and REST APIs for enterprise cloud platforms.
• Work with Python to build efficient data processing pipelines, including data ingestion and data engineering tasks.
• Design, implement, and optimize big data processing workflows using technologies such as Spark, Hive, MapReduce, and HBase.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and processing.
• Work with GCP to manage cloud infrastructure and services, with a strong focus on BigQuery and DataFlow.
• Migrate legacy applications and systems to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical solutions and enhance system performance.
• Leverage UNIX, Shell, Perl, and Python scripting skills for automation and system operations.

Skills & Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in Java 8, Spring Boot, Python programming, and API development.
• Strong experience in microservices architecture and REST API development.
• Proven track record of working with Big Data technologies: Spark, Hive, MapReduce, and HBase.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and Pyspark for data processing and ingestion.
• In-depth understanding of GCP fundamentals and hands-on experience with GCP managed services, specifically BigQuery and DataFlow.
• Experience in app migration to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proficient in Build Tools like Maven and Gradle.
• Strong scripting skills in UNIX, Shell, Perl, and Python.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with cloud-native architecture and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with additional cloud services and data engineering tools within the GCP ecosystem.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
