Role and Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and develop RESTful APIs using Java frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot).
• Implement best practices for API development, including security, performance, and scalability.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure high-quality code standards.
• Write unit tests and integration tests to maintain code integrity and reliability.
• Work closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate APIs with CI/CD pipelines and monitor application performance.
• Lead technical discussions and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Create and maintain comprehensive API documentation for internal and external use.
• Document code and processes to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
• Diagnose and resolve API performance issues, bugs, and production incidents in a timely manner.
• Continuously analyze and improve system performance and user experience.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Java development, with a focus on API design and development.
• Strong proficiency in Java and related frameworks.
• Experience with RESTful API design principles and best practices.
• Familiarity with API documentation tools (e.g., Swagger, Postman).
• Knowledge of database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) and data modeling.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
