Responsibilities
- Develop, program, and maintain applications using the Apache Spark open-source framework.
- Designing, coding, and unit testing as part of the SDLC operations.
- Work with different aspects of the Spark ecosystem, including Spark SQL, DataFrames, Datasets, and streaming.
- Spark Developers must have strong programming skills in Java, Scala, or Python.
- They may also use Spark to implement Apache Spark data processing projects to handle data from streaming sources and various RDBMS.
- Building and maintaining SQL databases using Spark SQL, and building and maintaining a codebase for Apache Spark data processes.
- Creating real-time data pipelines using Apache Spark.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer science engineering, or related experience required, advanced degree preferred.
- Familiar with Agile or other rapid application development methods.
- Hands-on expertise with application design and software development in Big Data across one or more platforms, languages, and tools.
- Experience with design and coding across one or more platforms and languages as appropriate.
- Hands-on expertise in application design, software development, and automated testing.
- Solid knowledge of Java/Open Source and Cloud Native Application development.
- Hands-on software solutions, design, and development with expertise in programming languages Java Spark, Data Pipeline (DPL), and Public Cloud (AWS).
