Key Responsibilities

• Led a team that will develop structure and system installation conceptual layouts for the complete Airframe on new and existing aircraft programs.
  
• Closely interface with stress, systems, interiors, and support functions such as thermodynamics, mass properties, etc.
  
• Working closely with the Program Management Office.
  
• Generate preliminary design studies and layouts using 3D modeling.
  
• Provide technical solutions to resolve design or manufacturing issues.
  
• Generate and execute weight savings ideas.
  
• Provide input to impact analysis (technical, cost, schedule).
  
• Support directly other engineering and operations departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  
• Strong knowledge of aircraft structures and/or systems installation: configuration, preliminary sizing, design for manufacturing, detail design (sheet metal, machined parts, piping, component assembly, GD&T), material and processes, certification requirements, weight control, and industry design standards.
• Familiarity with the Aircraft system's overall operation and function is considered an asset.
• Strong familiarity with aerospace manufacturing processes and capabilities.
• knowledge of CATIA V5, Enovia and MS Office is required.
