Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain SQL Server environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new features and services.
• Create Runbooks and SOPs, and transfer knowledge to Operations and Contractors.
• Ensure secure, performant, and scalable solutions meeting non-functional requirements.
• Lead medium to large initiatives, prioritize tasks, and resolve technical issues.
• Develop and enforce best practices, standards, and operational processes.
• Identify and implement emerging technologies via proof-of-concept projects.

Required Experience & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 10+ years as a Microsoft SQL Server Engineer, including:
• Engineering SQL platforms and developing features with cross-functional teams.
• Creating Runbooks and SOPs.
• Delivering secure, high-performance solutions.
• Leading initiatives and defining best practices.
• Evaluating and implementing new technologies.

Preferred Experience & Skills

• IaC (T-SQL, Python, PowerShell).
• Tools like Ansible, GitHub, Control-M, Jira, Confluence.
• SOX compliance.
• Developing technical roadmaps and IT-driven projects.
• Subject matter expertise in database technologies.
