We are seeking an experienced IBM Tivoli Output Manager Consultant with strong expertise in mainframe output management and IBM z/OS environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with IBM Tivoli Output Manager, production support, JCL troubleshooting, and report management. This role involves supporting enterprise batch processing, output distribution, and collaborating with technical teams to ensure reliable mainframe operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and support IBM Tivoli Output Manager in a z/OS environment.
- Monitor and manage mainframe output processing, report capture, retention, and distribution.
- Troubleshoot issues related to SYSOUT, spool processing, output routing, and batch execution.
- Analyze and resolve production support issues involving JCL, JES2/JES3, and batch jobs.
- Utilize SDSF, TSO/ISPF, and other mainframe utilities for job monitoring and diagnostics.
- Work closely with infrastructure, application, and operations teams to support production environments.
- Participate in migration, implementation, and production cutover activities.
- Document operational procedures, troubleshooting guides, and system configurations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure stable and efficient output management processes.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with IBM Tivoli Output Manager in an IBM z/OS environment.
- Strong understanding of mainframe output management concepts and best practices.
- Experience with IBM z/OS, JES2 and/or JES3, SYSOUT, and spool management.
- Strong knowledge of JCL with the ability to analyze and troubleshoot batch jobs.
- Hands-on experience with TSO/ISPF.
- Experience using SDSF for job monitoring and output review.
- Strong understanding of mainframe batch processing and production support.
- Experience troubleshooting report capture, output routing, report retention, and distribution issues.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
