Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide daily administration and support for virtualization platforms including VMware, Hyper-V, OLVM, and KVM
• Manage tasks such as VM provisioning, patching, live migrations, snapshot management, and disaster recovery (DR) processes
• Ensure systems meet ITAR compliance and maintain thorough, up-to-date infrastructure documentation
• Participate in platform upgrades, migrations to modern hypervisors, or transitions to containerized environments (e.g., Kubernetes)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot performance issues and optimize infrastructure
• Assist with capacity planning and performance tuning of virtual infrastructure.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with one or more hypervisor platforms: VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, or Oracle Linux Virtualization Manager (OLVM)
• Strong proficiency in virtual machine (VM) lifecycle management (provisioning, cloning, decommissioning)
• Experience configuring and managing HA (High Availability) and DRS (Distributed Resource Scheduler) environments
