Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design, development, and implementation of Guidewire PolicyCenter solutions in a cloud-based environment.
• Collaborate with the Principal Engineer to define the technical strategy, architecture, and approach for PolicyCenter implementations.
• Provide technical leadership to a team of developers, ensuring adherence to best practices, coding standards, and delivery timelines.
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers, providing feedback and coaching on technical skills and career development.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Design and develop advanced products using Guidewire Advanced Product Designer (APD).
• Ensure the successful integration of PolicyCenter with other Guidewire applications (ClaimsCenter, BillingCenter, etc.) and external systems.
• Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to ensure high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Guidewire technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
• Collaborate in an Agile/Scrum environment, ensuring timely delivery of technical solutions.

Requirements

• Extensive experience with Guidewire Cloud PolicyCenter.
• Proven experience with Advanced Product Designer (APD).
• Ace Certification in Guidewire products (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimsCenter).
• Strong technical leadership skills with experience in leading development teams and mentoring junior developers.
• In-depth knowledge of Guidewire PolicyCenter configuration, customization, and integrations.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
• Proficiency in Java, Guidewire Studio, and Gosu programming.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, etc.) is a plus.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
