Job Description

We are seeking a Guidewire PolicyCenter Subject Matter Expert (SME) with deep experience in the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain. The ideal candidate will provide functional and technical leadership across PolicyCenter implementations, data migration, and Agile delivery within Auto, Home, and Umbrella lines of business.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Serve as the functional domain expert for Guidewire PolicyCenter across the entire policy lifecycle: submission, quoting, binding, issuance, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and rewrites.
  • Review and validate design artifacts including FSDs, BRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Define scope for PolicyCenter implementations, identifying in-scope and out-of-scope data and processes.
  • Lead historical vs. active policy migration strategies, including lookback period assessments.
  • Govern data migration activities from a PolicyCenter functional perspective.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define data retention, archival, and compliance requirements.
  • Act as the functional owner for source-to-target mapping of PolicyCenter data entities.
  • Analyze legacy policy data structures and mappings for migration readiness.
  • Ensure traceability from requirements through configuration and testing.
  • Support release planning, cutover activities, and overall go-live readiness.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Extensive hands-on experience in Agile project execution, preferably in Guidewire implementations.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language.
  • Deep functional knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance (Auto, Home, Umbrella).
  • Experience with common Agile tools and artifacts (e.g., Rally).
  • Strong documentation and analytical capabilities.
Preferred Skills
  • Understanding of Snowflake architecture and modern data platforms.
  • Technology awareness with ability to influence and guide technical discussions.
  • Leadership, coaching, and facilitation skills within cross-functional teams.
  • Risk management experience in large-scale insurance implementations.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field (preferred).
