We are looking for a skilled Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Lead to join our team in Madison, Wisconsin. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with GCP services and a strong background in information technology. You will play a crucial role in architecting and implementing cloud-native solutions while collaborating with diverse teams.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of GCP-based solutions, utilizing services such as BigQuery, CloudRun, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer, and IAM.
- Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure using Python, SQL, Terraform, and CI/CD tools.
- Oversee the creation, execution, and monitoring of Airflow DAGs for data workflows.
- Provide production support, debugging, and performance tuning for cloud applications.
- Collaborate effectively with global teams, ensuring clear communication and thorough documentation.
- Convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders to foster understanding and collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution.
- At least 12 years of experience in Information Technology.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with GCP services and cloud-native architecture.
- Proficient in Python, SQL, Terraform, CI/CD, and Git workflows.
- Strong experience with data integration tools and job schedulers, including Attunity, AutoSys, and Airflow.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the insurance domain is preferable.
- Good understanding of data integration, data quality, and data architecture.
- Familiarity with relational modeling, dimensional modeling, and modeling of unstructured data.
- Knowledge of Agile software development frameworks.
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse, multi-stakeholder environment involving both business and technology teams.
