Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and deliver production-ready solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with a focus on Compute and Storage services.
  • Enable and implement the required guardrails and controls for Google Cloud services in production environments, particularly within the financial services industry.
  • Build and automate cloud foundation tooling for GCP, including landing zones, self-service capabilities, and control mechanisms for compute and storage services.
  • Use a combination of Terraform, Python, Go, and other scripting languages to create cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on automated provisioning and management.
  • Apply policy-as-code frameworks, such as Sentinel, to enforce security, compliance, and governance policies across the cloud environment.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure test-driven design principles, writing Gherkin statements and translating them to pyTest for automated testing.
  • Manage end-to-end deliverables, including understanding user stories, design, development, automated testing, validation, deployment, and ongoing support.
  • Work with the Cloud Compute Team to support and optimize Linux/Windows operating systems in GCP.
  • Actively participate in the SDLC process and work in an outcome-based model, ensuring timely and effective delivery of solutions.

 

Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including successful delivery of production solutions.
  • Proficiency in Terraform, Python, and Go for cloud automation and scripting.
  • Knowledge and experience with policy-as-code frameworks like Sentinel.
  • Expertise in Compute and Storage services within GCP.
  • Solid understanding of test-driven design and experience writing Gherkin statements and using pyTest.
  • Strong experience with Linux/Windows operating systems in the context of cloud infrastructure.
  • Ability to build and maintain cloud foundation tooling for landing zones, self-service capabilities, and governance.
  • Strong experience with the SDLC process and an ability to manage end-to-end deliverables from design to deployment.
