Firewall Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support enterprise firewall infrastructure
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot firewall policies and rules
• Monitor network security and respond to incidents
• Participate in on-call rotation and incident response
• Support scheduled maintenance and upgrade activities
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for security and network incidents
• Ensure compliance with security standards and operational procedures
• Collaborate with network and security teams for issue resolution

Required Skills

• Strong experience in firewall administration and network security
• Hands-on experience with enterprise firewall technologies (e.g., Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet, Cisco ASA – or similar)
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network protocols
• Experience in incident management and production support environments
• Ability to troubleshoot complex network/security issues
• Experience working in high-availability enterprise environments

Preferred Skills

• Experience in large-scale enterprise network environments
• Exposure to change management and ITIL processes
• Experience in maintenance windows and production cutover activities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and coordination skills for on-call operations
