Job Description

Finance Domain Lead (Data & Analytics Program)

Key Responsibilities

· Act as the primary onsite business-facing lead for the engagement, coordinating closely with business owners, IT and the delivery team.

· Provide Finance & Accounting domain leadership across Accounts Payable, inventory accounting, COGS/cost accounting, Cash Management, Cash Applications, Treasury and Bank Reconciliation.

·  Own the Key Success Metrics (KSM) process for each subject area, including requirement clarification, metric definition, business logic, expected values, rolling reviews, change tracking and business sign-off.

·  Lead finance-focused discovery workshops and revalidation sessions, translating dashboard wireframes and business logic into measures, dimensions, grain, date basis and source requirements.

· Work closely with the Oracle EBS Finance Functional Consultant to validate KPI and calculation logic against Oracle EBS during discovery.

· Partner with Data Modelers and Data Engineers to ensure business requirements are accurately reflected in conceptual, logical and physical data models, source-to-target mappings and the curated Redshift layer.

· Drive resolution of business definition gaps, source-data questions, offline/manual source dispositions and cross-functional dependencies.

· Ensure finance stakeholders can validate the data layer through clear KPI definitions, business glossary content and UAT validation packs.

· Coordinate business sign-offs, decisions and escalations with the Project Manager, while supporting governance, RAID management and change control.

· Support UAT by helping business owners understand expected KPI results, reconciliation outcomes and functional defects; facilitate timely resolution of finance-domain issues.

· Provide finance walkthroughs at the close of each subject area and support knowledge transfer and handover to  stakeholders.

· Maintain strong onsite stakeholder engagement and ensure business, functional and technical teams remain aligned across concurrent delivery waves.

Required Experience and Skills

· Strong hands-on Finance & Accounting domain knowledge in multiple areas relevant to the engagement: Accounts Payable, inventory accounting, COGS/cost accounting, Cash Management, Cash Applications, Treasury and Bank Reconciliation.

· Strong understanding of financial reporting, KPI definitions, reconciliations, accounting periods, control totals and business validation of finance data.

· Experience leading finance/data discovery workshops and converting business reporting needs into structured functional and data requirements.

· Experience owning requirements artifacts, KPI/KSM catalogs, business glossaries, sign-off processes and stakeholder decisions.

· Working knowledge of Oracle EBS Finance data and processes; ability to collaborate effectively with an Oracle EBS Finance Functional Consultant on source and calculation validation.

· Experience working with data modelling, data warehouse or analytics delivery teams, with the ability to bridge Finance stakeholders and technical teams.

· Understanding of data reconciliation, UAT and validation of curated/semantic data layers against source-system and expected business values.

· Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, written communication and executive communication skills.

· Ability to lead in a parallel, multi-work stream delivery model and manage competing priorities and sign-off dependencies.

Preferred Qualifications

· 10+ years of overall experience with significant experience in Finance transformation, Finance analytics, ERP-enabled reporting or enterprise data programs.

· Prior experience in an Engagement Lead, Finance Domain Lead, Finance SME, Business Lead or similar client-facing role.

· Oracle EBS Finance exposure across AP, Inventory, Costing, WIP, Cash Management and/or General Ledger.

· Experience with cloud data platforms and analytics ecosystems such as AWS, Amazon Redshift and Power BI is beneficial.

· Experience with data quality, reconciliation controls, historical data/backfill, dimensional modelling and semantic-layer initiatives is preferred.
