We are seeking a skilled Fidessa Developer with strong server-side development experience to support and enhance front office trading systems. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of the Fidessa product suite, FIX protocol, and equities trading workflows, along with a proactive mindset and strong problem-solving abilities.
Required Technical Skills
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in Fidessa server-side development
- Strong knowledge of the Fidessa Product Suite, including:
CASE, FBL, TOP, OMAR, TMAR, PMAC, PARS, NMS, FIX, APAS, FDA
- Deep understanding of the FIX protocol and message flows
- Proficiency in TCL scripting and Unix shell scripting
- Strong experience working in Linux and Windows 10 environments
- Experience with Agile SDLC methodologies
- Front Office development experience with exposure to trading system workflows
- Strong understanding of equities trading workflows and market structure
- Excellent analytical, system design, and system integration skills

- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
- Strong interest in financial markets, trading concepts, and market microstructure

- 3+ years of experience in Core Java development
- Hands-on experience with FDX and Sybase
- Experience with FTW (Fidessa Trading Workflow) is a strong plus
Roles & Responsibilities
- Support, maintain, and enhance Fidessa trading systems within the Front Office environment
- Integrate Fidessa components into the bank’s technology ecosystem, ensuring stability and performance
- Perform regular upgrades of Fidessa components in line with vendor releases
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Project Managers, and development teams to meet business and regulatory requirements
- Enable and integrate Fidessa systems with DevOps CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and optimize system performance
- Participate in system integration, testing, and deployment activities
- Ensure adherence to Agile SDLC processes and deliver production-ready solutions
- Develop a strong understanding of equities workflows to effectively support trading desks
- Manage multiple parallel initiatives while taking full ownership of deliverables
