We are seeking an experienced ERP Workday Payroll Coordinator to oversee payroll operations and support enterprise payroll initiatives within a Workday environment. The ideal candidate will have strong payroll leadership experience, expertise in Workday Payroll, and a proven track record of supporting organizations through Workday implementation and go-live transitions. Experience within K-12 educational environments is highly preferred.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee day-to-day payroll operations within the Workday Payroll platform.
- Lead payroll processing activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely payroll delivery.
- Support Workday Payroll implementation, stabilization, and post-go-live activities.
- Serve as a key resource during Workday go-live transitions, providing leadership and operational guidance to payroll teams.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to resolve payroll-related issues and optimize processes.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and organizational policies.
- Monitor payroll data integrity and perform audits to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Develop and maintain payroll procedures, documentation, and best practices.
- Support payroll testing, validation, and reconciliation activities for system enhancements and updates.
- Provide training, mentoring, and guidance to payroll staff and end users.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience coordinating and managing payroll operations in a Workday environment.
- Workday Payroll Certification.
- Proven payroll leadership experience, including managing or supporting payroll teams.
- Experience supporting payroll organizations through Workday implementation and go-live transitions.
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, compliance requirements, and payroll best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
