Job Description

We are seeking an experienced ERP Workday Payroll Coordinator to oversee payroll operations and support enterprise payroll initiatives within a Workday environment. The ideal candidate will have strong payroll leadership experience, expertise in Workday Payroll, and a proven track record of supporting organizations through Workday implementation and go-live transitions. Experience within K-12 educational environments is highly preferred.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and oversee day-to-day payroll operations within the Workday Payroll platform.
  • Lead payroll processing activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely payroll delivery.
  • Support Workday Payroll implementation, stabilization, and post-go-live activities.
  • Serve as a key resource during Workday go-live transitions, providing leadership and operational guidance to payroll teams.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to resolve payroll-related issues and optimize processes.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and organizational policies.
  • Monitor payroll data integrity and perform audits to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Develop and maintain payroll procedures, documentation, and best practices.
  • Support payroll testing, validation, and reconciliation activities for system enhancements and updates.
  • Provide training, mentoring, and guidance to payroll staff and end users.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Experience coordinating and managing payroll operations in a Workday environment.
  • Workday Payroll Certification.
  • Proven payroll leadership experience, including managing or supporting payroll teams.
  • Experience supporting payroll organizations through Workday implementation and go-live transitions.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, compliance requirements, and payroll best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
