Job Description
Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the FPA team to design, develop, implement, and test reports and queries to meet financial information needs.
  • Understand Florida PALM data values and integrate them into reporting functions.
  • Perform impact assessments of Florida PALM Project changes related to financial reporting and management.
  • Create and maintain requirements documentation and ensure traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Attend and document meetings related to the Florida PALM Project; prepare agendas, minutes, issue papers, and decisions.
  • Provide reports and recommendations for decision-making, including responses to state and federal inquiries, status reports, and audit materials.
  • Assist in transferring project knowledge to stakeholders, including department staff, external partners, and state/federal representatives.
  • Develop test scripts, conduct tests, and ensure system functionality aligns with business requirements.
  • Resolve test discrepancies and support system modifications as necessary.
  • Assist in maintaining Florida PALM-related databases and conduct production analysis.
  • Research PeopleSoft documentation to identify fixes, enhancements, and new functionalities related to the project.
  • Update and maintain training documents and ensure they align with the evolving Florida PALM Project.
  • Ensure that all functional documentation reflects system changes and requirements.

 

Qualifications
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft or similar ERP systems.
  • Ability to assess business needs and develop practical solutions.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Certifications related to PeopleSoft, ERP systems, or financial reporting preferred.

 

Required Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in ERP applications or object-oriented analysis and design.
  • Proven experience in requirements development, system design, and testing.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (PeopleSoft experience preferred).

 

Preferred Experience
  • Experience with PeopleSoft data warehouse and financial reporting.
  • Familiarity with all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including Analysis, Design, Development, Testing, Implementation, and Maintenance.
  • Experience with Florida state government accounting and reporting.
