Seeking an experienced ERP Modernization Architect with strong IBM i / AS400 background to modernize ERP platforms, design integration solutions, and support legacy-to-modern transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate should have expertise in RPGLE environments, API integrations, UI modernization frameworks, and modern development technologies.
Core Responsibilities
- Architect and modernize IBM i / AS400 ERP systems
- Collaborate with RPGLE development teams on modernization and enhancement initiatives
- Design and implement REST/SOAP API integrations and event-driven solutions
- Build integrations and platform extensions using Python, Node.js, Java, C#, or similar technologies
- Evaluate and implement IBM i UI modernization frameworks such as Lansa, Profound UI, and Valence
- Design B2B data exchange, mapping, transformation, and onboarding solutions
- Work with DB2 for i databases, schemas, and stored procedures
- Support AI-assisted development and automation initiatives
- Create technical architecture documentation and support Agile/SDLC processes
Required Skills/Experience
- Strong background in IBM i / AS400 systems
- RPGLE development experience or functional knowledge
- Experience architecting and modernizing ERP systems
- Strong experience with modern programming languages: Python, Node.js, Java, C#
- Strong understanding of REST/SOAP APIs, OAuth, JWT, and integration patterns
- Experience with B2B integrations and data exchange solutions
- Functional knowledge of DB2 for i
- Experience with UI modernization tools: Lansa, Profound UI, Valence or equivalent.
- Experience with GitHub and VS Code
- Exposure to AI-assisted development tools and automation concepts
- Strong communication, documentation, and architectural skills
- Experience working in Agile and SDLC environments
