Job Description
Key Responsibilities
  • Understand and document user workflows, core functions, and processes within the supported business areas, which may include inpatient, ambulatory, ancillary, or revenue cycle services.
  • Work directly with clinical end users to gather and define system requirements based on their workflows, helping ensure the Beaker module meets their needs.
  • Design, configure, test, troubleshoot, and maintain Epic Beaker applications, ensuring they align with user needs and organizational standards.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of Epic Beaker system functionality to implement new applications, modules, or features, ensuring proper integration with other Epic modules (e.g., EpicCare, Radiant) and third-party systems.
  • Document business requirements, current and future state workflows, and any custom configurations or builds required for the Beaker implementation. Maintain clear and accurate documentation for the team and end users.
  • Provide support during go-live events, including standard off-hours support, to ensure smooth deployment and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Perform integrated testing, including working with third-party systems like Data Innovations (DI), MRT, and CCV, and assist with troubleshooting and ensuring system stability post-go-live.

 

Qualifications
  • Associate degree required.
  • Epic Analyst - Beaker CP certified (required).
  • At least 4 years of experience working with Epic Beaker modules, including extensive experience in Corelab and Micro functionality.
  • Experience with full Epic Beaker implementations, including configuration, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience working with Data Innovations (DI), MRT, CCV, and performing integrated testing.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues in complex clinical workflows and applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clinical staff and technical teams.
  • Experience providing support during go-live events, including off-hours support as needed.

 

Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with advanced configurations and custom builds within the Epic Beaker module.
  • In-depth experience with integrated testing and system validation, particularly in clinical and laboratory environments.
  • Experience managing or supporting project timelines, deliverables, and milestones during Epic Beaker implementation and optimization projects.
  • Experience in training clinical users on Epic Beaker workflows, functionalities, and new implementations.
