Technical / Functional Skills

• Candidate should work with Enterprise Architecture team and assist on the technology planning, Designing, decision making and Review for new Infra related projects and enhancements as required.
• Co-ordinate with existing Infra team at onsite and offshore support team, to understand the requirement and take their inputs as and when necessary.
• Suggest customer the current market trend solutions.
• Understanding, knowledge and working of NexGen Solution in Datacenter area (Compute, Storage, Backup, DB, DevOps, Container, Hybrid cloud).
• Understand system architecture and work on data migration and system decommissioning.
• 8-10 years IT IS experience, with combination of 2 or more of the below skill sets
• Hands-on experience in design, develop and deployment of DC Solutions (with combination of any of the two technology listed below – storage, windows, Unix, backup, DevOps, container, Hybrid cloud)
• Must have held critical roles in Enterprise Architecture in recent engagements
• Must have designed and deployed state-of-art DC solutions using latest technologies for large enterprises including DR, BCP, etc.
• Should be able to work in global delivery model which means traveling to different customer sites as and when needed for discussions, assessment, presentations
• Must be aware of latest technology solutions
• Excellent communication and written skills to interact with Enterprise Architecture group in customer organization
• Good Presentation Skills
• Experience on Various Infra Tools
• Hands-on experience in design, develop and deployment of Storage Solutions in large organization IT/IS landscape (HDS/HPE/IBM/Pure/NetApp/Dell/SDS)
• Must have designed and deployed state-of-art storage solutions using latest technologies for large enterprises including DR, BCP, etc.
• Must be aware of latest technology solutions in Storage solutions area
• Design and implementation of Windows and VMware high availability configurations
• Technical consulting services for Windows and VMware environment
• Optimization recommendations for Windows and VMware environment
• Change review and technical input for Windows and VMware environmen
• Must have designed and deployed platforms using Virtualization, Windows and Linux, Unix, Solaris, AIX, HPUX etc. in a large enterprise
• Must be aware of latest technology solutions in IT Platform solutions area
• Hands on experience on UNIX virtualization deployment, troubleshooting
• Apply patches, packages, agents on various UNIX systems
• Specialization in any one of the legacy enterprise backup products – VERITAS NetBackup, Commvault, EMC Networker, Avamar, TSM etc.
• Specialization in any one the new-generation product such as Cohesity, Rubrik or Actifio
• Understanding the backup process flow, native backup of the Databases such as SQL, Oracle, DB2, SAP-HANA, Application backup such as Exchange, SharePoint, Lotus-Note, deduplication, compression and encryption technology
• Designing backup infrastructure that meets customer RPO and RTO
• Experience in developing and maintaining CI/CD process for enterprise on-prem applications using tools like Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, etc
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, Terraform, Puppet 
• Hands-on experience in build and administer VMs and Containers using tools such as Docker, Kubernetes
• Experience in designing and maintaining cloud native DevOps solutions
• Experience in working with various open source technologies and various tools to orchestrate solutions
• Build independent web-based tools, microservices and solutions
• Configure and manage data sources like MySQL, Mongo, Elasticsearch, Redis, Cassandra, Hadoop, etc.
• Design, build the CI/CD infrastructure and tools with customer user experience, scale/performance, and operability in mind
• Understand how various systems work and how IT operations are managed
• Working on PoCs, creating accelerators and supporting to create offerings on the Container eco system (covering all the attributes including monitoring, security, etc)
• Working with customers to triage Kubernetes problems in both cloud based and on premise environments.
• Arriving best practices on the Kubernetes and related eco system installation, configurations and usage.
• Providing perspective during product and architecture planning
• Fast learner & possess skills to demonstrate the knowledge via presentations
• Basic knowledge of UNIX/Linux, H/W virtualization, networking & Storage
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, etc.
• Strong knowledge of the building blocks of Kubernetes
• Experience with setting up a cluster and deploying applications 
• Knowledge of networking in Kubernetes
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging with Kubernetes
• Knowledge of designing and adapting software to be twelve factor applications
• Knowledge of continuous integration via tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, XlDeploy
• Strong knowledge of how a Kubernetes Platform operates (service discovery, deployments, monitoring, scheduling, load balancing)
• Scripting (bash, Python, etc.)
• L2 vs. L3 networking, network architecture, VLANs
• Agile certification is added advantage
• Root cause analysis & ITSM practices
• Working knowledge of automation tools (Ansible, etc) will be added advantage.
• Messaging Queues configurations (Kafka, 0MQ, RabbitMQ, etc.) will be added advantage.

 

Training / Certifications for the platform

• Good documentation capabilities to describe the solution architectures
• Uses deliverables from vision and strategy phase to develop conceptual architecture
• Creates best practice technical architecture models utilizing knowledge of industry and technical trends
• Identifies and evaluates architecture to ensure the solutions satisfy business requirements and performance goals
• Scope and Define Solution, Sizing, SoW and responses for RFP where technical solution is required
• Validate and build PoC roadmap for customers solution
• Build and suggest valid workload for use cases based on the requirements
