Primary Responsibilities

• Perform routine and advanced scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analyses with high quality and efficiency.
• Operate floor model SEM systems; focused ion beam (FIB) experience is a strong plus.
• Conduct routine maintenance, calibration, and basic service of SEM instruments.
• Coordinate with field service technicians for complex service and repair needs.
• Manage lab operations, including sample tracking, instrument scheduling, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with the internal team regarding project timelines, results, and lab status.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related field
  or
  Associate's degree in Electron Microscopy (with a materials focus).
• Proven hands-on experience with SEM instrumentation.
• Familiarity with floor model systems; ability to troubleshoot and operate independently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate analytical results.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with focused ion beam (FIB) techniques.
• Experience in coordinating with external field service teams.
• Demonstrated ability to perform instrument maintenance and calibration.
