What You Will Do?

• Build and maintain our digital interactive line of educational games, and supporting infrastructure
• Troubleshoot production issues and work effectively to identify and address problems
• Work independently and/or as part of our team
• React to changes and improvement opportunities
• Work as a mid-level team player, either independently and/or with other developers, creators, and strategists

 

What Skills Do You Need?

• 5+ years of work experience in custom software design and development
• 3+ years of object-oriented design, implementation, data structures, algorithm design, and problem solving
• Languages will include: JavaScript, JS frameworks, and Typescript
• Frameworks will include: WebGL (OpenGL ES. 2.0), GLSL, Painting algorithm
• Compilers/packers will include: NPM, WebPack
• Source control will include: Git
• Full-stack web development experience
• Consuming Rest APIs
• Code to standards, keeping it lean and well-documented
• Work within proven QA processes to test quality of your code and the functional requirements of the project
• Understanding of networking and internet mechanics
• Maturity, judgment, negotiation/influence skills, and analytical skills
• Identify and solve ambiguous/undefined problems - ability to think abstractly
• Ability to synthesize requirements underlying feature request, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and facilitate engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines

 

Nice to Have

• Microsoft .NET experience
• PHP experience
• IndexedDB, Service Workers, PWA
• Database experience
