Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Gather requirements, install, configure, and oversee the implementation of Edifecs solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal business and technical teams for EDI system integration.
  • Design, build, and test payer EDI systems and components.
  • Work with an established and dynamic development team, including external vendors and remote team members.
  • Manage and migrate EDI technologies, focusing on healthcare payer and provider solutions.
  • Utilize Edifecs tools for migration and EDI transaction management.

 

Relevant Experience
  • 7-10 years of hands-on Edifecs/EDI development experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in Agile development, application design, software development, and testing.
  • Experience in healthcare payer or provider EDI solutions, including upgrades or migration.
  • Extensive experience with EDI X12 transactions such as 276/277 (claims status), 834 (member enrollment), 835 (claims payment), and 837 (electronic claims).
  • Proficient in EDI mapping, analysis, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience using Edifecs tools: SpecBuilder, MapBuilder, XEngine, XEngine Server, Trading Partner Management, and EAM (Application Manager).
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA requirements and X12 EDI standards.
  • Experience in Edifecs version 8.4 or higher.
  • Proficient in Unix/Linux and Java for EDI system development.
  • Ability to relate industry knowledge to customer needs and effectively address concerns.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and EDI migration processes.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology and iterative development processes.

 

Required Technical/Functional Skills
  • Edifecs platform and EDI transaction expertise.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare-related EDI transactions (HIPAA X12).
  • Java programming for EDI systems development.
