Roles and Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical SME for Edge architecture, including device, asset, and sensor connectivity, and OT protocol integration.
• Provide expertise in IoT Edge protocols such as Modbus, BACNet, OPC, Zigbee, LoRa, etc.
• Select appropriate hardware devices, sensors, and peripherals for energy and building control applications.
• Design and troubleshoot embedded systems, including embedded OS and application programming (Yocto preferred).
• Ensure embedded system security, authentication, and device management best practices.
• Work on research and lab development, creating and testing multiple Edge assets.
• Collaborate with offshore HVAC, BAS, and BCS vendors to deploy Energy Management Systems (EMS).
• Conduct site audits and evaluate building envelopes, mechanical, and electrical systems to identify gaps.
• Analyze the technical feasibility of energy-saving measures and assist customers in implementation.
• Connect and integrate multiple databases to fetch, exchange, and analyze data from diverse devices.
• Prepare detailed site assessment reports with energy analysis results and recommendations for energy cost savings.
• Manage interactions with customer Energy Managers to measure and report energy savings periodically.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience in BAS / BCS implementation for retail or commercial facilities.
• Deep understanding of Edge architecture, OT protocols, and IoT communication standards.
• Hands-on experience in embedded system design, troubleshooting, and programming.
• Knowledge of data integration between multiple devices and databases.
• Strong understanding of energy management systems and energy-saving technologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel for site audits and implementation projects.
