Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support for Linux-based systems, focusing on job scheduling, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Write and maintain automation scripts using Python, Perl, and/or shell scripting for various operational tasks.
• Help manage networking, storage technologies, and general infrastructure as related to eComms archiving.
• Work with email data parsing processes and handle large datasets, ensuring compliance with email standards like SMTP.
• Develop applications or services utilizing Python frameworks (Django, Flask) for process automation or new feature creation.
• Assist in the creation or maintenance of user-facing web interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (including popular frameworks like React, Angular, etc.).
• Utilize Splunk or similar data indexing tools to query and analyze large datasets, generating insights and graphical representations.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including customers, to troubleshoot issues and support system improvements.
• Participate in Agile development cycles, ensuring iterative delivery and continuous improvement of processes.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Python, Perl, or shell scripting for automation.
• Hands-on experience supporting Linux environments.
• Familiarity with job scheduling, monitoring, and troubleshooting within Linux.
• Exposure to networking and storage infrastructure.
• Experience with parsing email data and knowledge of email protocols, especially SMTP.
• Familiarity with Python frameworks like Django or Flask.
• Experience with web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Proficient in using Splunk or other data indexers for querying and graph generation.
• Good communication skills with an ability to collaborate effectively with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and the ability to work in Agile environments.
