We are seeking an experienced eCommerce AWS Engineer to design and implement innovative, scalable web solutions for both B2B and B2C applications. You will leverage your AWS expertise to build and optimize eCommerce platforms, collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate APIs and services, ensure performance, and maintain security.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement web solutions for B2B and B2C eCommerce applications.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Integrate and extend web functionality through API integrations, app integrations, and composable architecture.
- Ensure scalability, performance, and security of web applications, adhering to best practices in web development.
- Implement Agile methodologies to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget.
- Translate business needs into system features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Enhance eCommerce solutions with your expertise in AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFormation, etc.).
- Work with SaaS platforms like BigCommerce, Shopify, and CommerceTools to build robust eCommerce functionalities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and developers to design project strategies and ensure smooth execution.
- Provide development support for both internal and customer-facing environments, ensuring peak performance and security.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in eCommerce web development, with a focus on B2B applications.
- Extensive hands-on experience with SaaS platforms (e.g., BigCommerce, WordPress).
- Proven experience with API integrations and middleware.
- Strong knowledge of database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and version control (Git).
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Expertise in Headless and Composable architecture, with experience in MACH frameworks.
- Proficiency with AWS tools (Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, EC2, S3, etc.).
- Strong front-end skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React/Angular) and back-end technologies (Node.js, Python, Java).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Relevant certifications (BigCommerce BigDev, AWS) are a plus.
