We are seeking an experienced Domain Consultant with expertise in the Smallworld Product Suite (including PNI and Electric Office) and hands-on experience with Magik software. The role involves designing, implementing, and supporting GIS solutions, from analysis through to testing, using Smallworld products. You will work closely with clients to gather requirements, provide functional designs, and ensure successful project delivery.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design and implement GIS solutions using Smallworld products (PNI, Electric Office), customizing as needed to meet client requirements.
• Develop, test, and optimize code using Magik, ensuring the system is scalable and meets performance standards.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication of requirements, progress, and issues.
• Conduct testing (unit, integration, and system) to ensure the GIS solutions meet quality standards.
• Create clear documentation for design, coding, testing, and implementation processes, keeping all stakeholders updated.
• Propose enhancements and process improvements to optimize GIS solutions and business processes.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Smallworld Product Suite (PNI, Electric Office) and hands-on experience with Magik.
• Strong understanding of GIS concepts and spatial data management.
• Solid experience with Magik coding; familiarity with other languages is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and experience working directly with clients.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex GIS system issues.
• Excellent skills in creating detailed, clear documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant GIS or Smallworld certifications.
• Background in utility industries (e.g., energy, telecommunications).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, GIS, or related field.
