Job Description
Job Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and other DevOps tools, ensuring seamless integration of development and operational environments.
  • Work with version control systems such as BitBucket/Git, RTC (IBM Rational Team Concert), Subversion, Perforce, or TFS to manage code repositories and facilitate smooth code collaboration and versioning.
  • Utilize ALM tools such as JIRA, NEXUS, and ALM to manage the entire application lifecycle, integrating development, testing, and deployment workflows.
  • Oversee build processes, deployment, and configuration management across multiple environments (Windows and Linux), with a focus on troubleshooting and resolving application issues.
  • Provide expertise in both Windows and Linux systems, ensuring effective application deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Lead and actively participate in technical discussions and conference calls with cross-functional teams, including business users, technical teams, and stakeholders.
  • Perform database queries and updates, work with basic networking concepts (load balancers, firewalls), and understand web application communication protocols such as SOAP, HTTP, and XML.
  • Write and maintain scripts using VBScript, Windows Scripting Host, or other scripting languages as needed to automate manual tasks and improve efficiency.
  • Manage Windows IIS administration tasks and contribute to automation with BladeLogic.

 

Job Qualifications
  • 10+ years of IT experience, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in a DevOps role.
  • 4+ years of experience with Jenkins, building CI/CD pipelines, and continuous integration best practices.
  • Proven experience with version control systems such as BitBucket/Git, Subversion, or TFS.
  • 5+ years of experience in Windows Build and Code Deployment, along with Linux application troubleshooting.
  • Strong proficiency in Linux administration and application troubleshooting.
  • Expertise with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Ansible, and XL Release.
  • Working knowledge of application setup, support, and configuration.
  • Familiarity with databases, including performing queries and updates.
  • Understanding of networking concepts such as load balancers and firewalls.
  • Basic understanding of MQs and related messaging protocols.
