Responsibilities:

• Provide expert technical support for end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues related to desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows, MacOS) and software applications.
• Diagnose and resolve network connectivity problems, printer issues, and hardware malfunctions.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the efficient deployment and maintenance of desktop systems.
• Set up and manage user accounts, profiles, and permissions as needed.
• Educate and assist end-users in resolving common IT-related problems and inquiries.
• Perform routine system updates, patches, and antivirus scans to maintain system security.
• Maintain hardware and software inventory, track assets, and ensure licensing compliance.
• Monitor and manage backup and recovery procedures to safeguard critical data.
• Provide on-site and remote support as necessary and document support requests and resolutions.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree or certifications in IT or related fields is a plus.
• Proven experience in desktop support, with 4 to 8 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and MacOS operating systems.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues.
• Familiarity with desktop hardware components and peripherals.
• Experience with troubleshooting network connectivity and printer problems.
• Knowledge of software installation, configuration, and updates.
• Strong problem-solving and technical skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with IT teams.
• Familiarity with IT service management and ticketing systems.
• Certifications like CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) are a plus.
