Design Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities

• Define and select control modules, sensors, and other major components.
• Supports the current LMT product and implements changes into production.
• Connect major components ensuring system performance is not compromised.
• Ensure the overall system is easy to assemble and cost-efficient.
• Engage in component-level design including wiring harnesses, battery cables, simple fabricated steel structures, and component mounting systems.
• Oversee the creation of detailed drawings and the release of these drawings for production implementation.
  

Qualifications/Skills

• Minimum 8 years of experience with PTC Creo.
• Previous experience with engineering software applications.
• Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings, and common computations.
• Experience in 24-volt electrical system design, machine design, strength of materials, structural fatigue, noise/vibration/harshness (NVH), and heat transfer.
• Ability to read and interpret 2D technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
