Roles and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot live issues, internally or externally reported.
• Manage database access. Adhere to best practices regarding access to and management of databases.
• Troubleshoot database-related application performance issues and recommend solutions.
  Perform Replication setup including table level/Warm Standby/MSA and tuning.
• Improve database performance and operational excellence.
• Perform Database Migrations using Dump/Load and in place Upgrades.
• Install, upgrade, and manage the database.

Qualifications/Skills

• Detailed knowledge of DB2 server installations on standalone/DPF/HADR. 
• Strong knowledge of the technical aspects of database security, enterprise backup and restore, and replication strategies.
• Experience with Linux platform, Shell, and Perl scripting is required.
• Experience in raising PMR with IBM and getting the resolution.
• Good knowledge of Database maintenance tasks such as Dbcc, and Reorg.
• Strong sense of ownership in providing extremely secure, highly-available, fault-tolerant enterprise systems.
