Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage and execute firmware upgrades for DataPower devices, ensuring the system remains up to date and secure.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues by using probes, TCP connection tests, network traces, and latency logs. Troubleshoot and resolve errors related to DataPower environments.
• Manage and maintain Crypto Certificate objects for secure communication and integration.
• Configure and support various service classes in DataPower, such as WSGateway, Multi-Protocol Gateway (MPGW), and XML Firewall Service (XFW).
• Navigate the DataPower WebGUI and CLI to configure, monitor, and troubleshoot the appliance.
• Work with DPXI52 devices for integration and development tasks.
• Develop and maintain DataPower Extension (DP Extension) functions.
• Create, manage, and maintain services like WSP (Web Services Proxy), XFW (XML Firewall), MPGW (Multi-Protocol Gateway), FSH (File Switching), and Log Targets.
• Configure and manage AAA (Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting) policies.
• Write and maintain XSLT for transforming XML data as needed for various services and integrations.
• Strong knowledge of XML, SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture), Web Services, SOAP, WSDL, and RESTful services.
• Ensure proper error handling and perform troubleshooting within the DataPower environment to resolve service disruptions and ensure system reliability.
• Use SoapUI and other testing tools to test DataPower services, with additional experience in SOA Test being a plus.

Required Skills

• Experience with DataPower appliance configurations, including but not limited to firmware upgrades, certificate management, and service configurations.
• Proficient in XSLT, XML, and service-oriented architecture (SOA) integration.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to use DataPower diagnostic tools.
• Expertise in web services (SOAP, WSDL, REST).
• Comfortable with both WebGUI and CLI environments.
• Knowledge of AAA policy creation and certificate encryption and management.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with DataPower gateway scripting for advanced functionality is a plus.
• Familiarity with Cloud Paks for Integration, OpenShift, or similar cloud technologies is advantageous.
