We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator / Database Engineer with strong expertise in Oracle PL/SQL, Couchbase, FIS ClearVision, and Azure Cloud/Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial services, particularly cleared derivatives and exchange-traded derivatives (ETD) clearing systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and maintain the FIS ClearVision platform for cleared derivatives trade clearing.
- Develop, debug, and maintain Oracle PL/SQL procedures, batch jobs, loops, and database fixes.
- Manage Couchbase NoSQL data lifecycle activities, including data pruning, archiving, and updates.
- Support exchange-traded derivatives clearing operations and trade processing workflows.
- Monitor and troubleshoot multi-exchange gateway integrations involving CME, ICE, Eurex, SGX, COMEX, and CBOT.
- Understand and support market data flows, including CCP and non-CCP processing.
- Perform log analysis, production incident investigation, root cause analysis, and resolution.
- Create and maintain operational runbooks, postmortems, technical documentation, and support procedures.
- Develop shell scripts to automate operational and database administration tasks.
- Support Azure cloud infrastructure and SRE-related activities.
- Administer Kubernetes resources, including pods, CronJobs, persistent volume claims (PVCs), Secrets, ConfigMaps, and resource limits.
- Configure KEDA autoscaling using time-based and cron triggers, including timezone-sensitive scheduling.
- Develop, maintain, and deploy Helm charts using templates,
values.yaml, and environment-specific configurations.
- Collaborate with database, infrastructure, application development, and production support teams to ensure system stability and availability.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 8–10 years of experience in database administration, database engineering, or infrastructure support.
- Strong knowledge of FIS ClearVision and cleared derivatives trade clearing.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle PL/SQL development, debugging, and batch processing.
- Experience managing Couchbase NoSQL databases and data lifecycle operations.
- Knowledge of exchange-traded derivatives (ETD) clearing and financial trading systems.
- Understanding of multi-exchange gateway operations and trade data processing.
- Experience with Azure Cloud and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
- Strong troubleshooting, log analysis, incident management, and root cause analysis skills.
- Proficiency in shell scripting and operational automation.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes administration, KEDA autoscaling, and Helm deployments.
- Strong documentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
