Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy predictive models and machine learning algorithms to solve complex business problems.
• Perform feature selection using techniques such as PCA, Lasso, and Elastic Net.
• Build models using Linear & Logistic Regression, SVM, Decision Trees, XGBoost, Hist Gradient Boosting, and LightGBM.
• Leverage cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Hadoop) to create scalable data solutions.
• Create interactive dashboards and visualizations using Domo, Tableau, PowerBI, D3.js, and Matplotlib.
• Apply data storytelling techniques to communicate insights effectively to diverse stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data solutions into business workflows.
• Continuously evaluate and improve models to ensure accuracy, scalability, and relevance.

Required Technical Skills

• Programming Languages: Python, SQL, R, and web development languages.
• Data Visualization & Storytelling: Domo, Tableau, PowerBI, D3.js, Matplotlib.
• Machine Learning & Statistical Modeling: PCA, Lasso, Elastic Net, Linear & Logistic Regression, SVM, Decision Trees, XGBoost, Hist Gradient Boosting, LightGBM.
• Cloud & Big Data: AWS, Azure, Hadoop ecosystems.
• Additional Tools: SAS; experience with Palantir and Skywise is a plus.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, and advanced analytics.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
• Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
