Primary Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce data governance policies, procedures, and standards in line with business goals and regulatory requirements.
• Lead initiatives to identify, address, and monitor data quality issues, including cleansing, validation, and transformation.
• Implement and maintain data security and access controls to safeguard sensitive information.
• Ensure compliance with internal governance policies, as well as external regulatory and industry standards.
• Collaborate with data owners, business stakeholders, and IT to align governance efforts with strategic objectives.
• Monitor and report on data governance metrics, performance indicators, and policy adherence.
• Advocate for a data-driven culture, promoting accountability and stewardship across the organization.

Required Technical/Functional Skills

• Strong understanding of data governance principles, frameworks, and industry best practices.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms, data warehousing, and data integration tools.
• Experience with data governance, catalog, and metadata tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation).
• Demonstrated ability to lead and execute complex data governance projects with minimal oversight.
• Skilled in developing and managing project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to unexpected challenges.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
