Job Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an organizational data strategy that aligns with business objectives, ensuring efficient data flow between systems and teams.
• Design and implement robust data models that support business needs, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
• Act as a key architect for the platform that facilitates data transfer from multiple input systems to downstream systems.
• Leverage CockroachDB for distributed database solutions, ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability across systems.
• Oversee the integration of various data sources, ensuring seamless flow and transformation of data across the architecture.
• Work closely with development, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure that the data model and architecture meet both technical and business requirements.
• Guide the implementation of data solutions, ensuring they are optimized for performance and aligned with best practices.
• Create and maintain documentation on data models, architectures, and processes, establishing standards and best practices for data management.

Job Qualifications

• At least 7 years of experience with CockroachDB, including deep understanding of distributed database systems and design principles.
• Strong experience in designing and implementing data models for large-scale systems, including both transactional and analytical use cases.
• Proven ability to design and implement a comprehensive data strategy, including data transfer and integration from input to downstream systems.
• Strong experience in leading data architecture initiatives, providing guidance to teams on data management best practices.
• Experience with cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and tools for data management and integration.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams, translating business requirements into technical data solutions.
