Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Data Center/Lab Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for the management, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our data center and lab environments. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead complex data center projects independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain the infrastructure and network systems within the data center and lab environments.
  • Monitor and manage the performance and reliability of data center systems, including networking equipment, servers, and storage solutions.
  • Provide expert-level troubleshooting for network, server, and data center issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Implement and maintain network and data center segmentation and virtualization strategies.
  • Configure and manage routing and switching within a data center environment, with a focus on Nexus technology.
  • Deploy and troubleshoot client and site-to-site VPN solutions.
  • Implement dynamic routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and roll out complex data center projects.
  • Document configurations, procedures, and processes for knowledge sharing and compliance.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with data security protocols and best practices.
  • Provide on-call support and respond to urgent issues as required.

 

Requirements
  • Certifications: CCNP or CCIE Certification in Routing and Switching (R and S) and/or Data Center (DC).
  • 5+ years of experience in Data Center Operations and Production Network Operations.
  • 3+ years of experience with various operating systems including Windows, Linux, and Cisco network operating systems.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Nexus Routing and Switching technologies.
  • Proficiency with VMware, ESXi, vCenter, and VM networking.
  • Expertise in implementing and managing dynamic routing protocols like OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP.
  • Experience in network segmentation and virtualization technologies.
  • Knowledge of implementing VPN solutions for client and site-to-site connections.
  • Ability to maintain a big-picture perspective while managing complex, multifaceted projects.
