Roles and Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and resolve onsite risks and incidents promptly, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Execute user stories related to data center operations, including installations, relocations, and power-down events.
• Support Layer 1 infrastructure design, cabling, capacity and inventory planning, and automation through CI/CD pipelines and APIs.
• Maintain and update documentation for processes, configurations, and design improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in agile ceremonies, and mentor new team members.

Required Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of experience in deploying and maintaining complex data center environments (new builds, renovations, or expansions).
• Strong understanding of Layer 1 technologies (Cat5e/6/6A, fiber optics, transceivers, cabling standards).
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure components — LAN/WAN/SAN, servers (Windows/Linux/Unix), firewalls, storage, wireless, DAS.
• Familiarity with EIA/TIA, IEEE, NEC, and ISO data center and cabling standards.
• Excellent documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Networking, Telecommunications, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in data center design, deployment, and operations.
• Industry certifications in data center or networking technologies.
• Experience with system automation frameworks and an automation-first mindset.
• Knowledge of network protocols (SNMP, CDP, ICMP), configuration, and monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with power and cooling systems, fire suppression, and physical security.
