Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Assist on Hardware installation and Maintenance.
  • Managing and configuring network Equipments.
  • Identifying and resolving hardware issues to Minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.
  • Monitoring system performance, ensuring Proper cooling and conducting regular equipment checks to prevent failures.
  • Working with Other IT teams such as Network engineers, system administrators and security personnel, to ensure overall data center functionality.
  • Assisting in Upgrading hardware, software and Infrastructure needed to accommodate growth and technological advancements.
  • Validate and maintain the Data Centre entry and exit access.
  • Observe monitoring tools such as UIM and AppDynamic for alarms.
  • Monitor the monitoring tools that are used in the Data Centre such as PowerIQ, dcTrack, UIM, AppD, Nlyte …etc
  • Creating / managing tickets in Service Now as required.
  • Involve in patching like PDU firmware updates.
  • Coordinate (or) sync up with ICC for recording the daily monitoring logs and their status.
  • Sync up with ICC for cascading any information shared from Application teams and for scheduled activities.
  • Escalate (or) coordinate the application issues to the application teams that are assigned by ICC in DCOps queue (or) any coordination that is required for the issues to be escalated to on call support.
  • Handle the schedule tasks for prod and non-prod mainframe activities. The schedule task such as restart of the sever and observing for any failures in batch jobs, coordinate with support groups for any issues during this schedule task.
  • Handle the Service Desk calls, troubleshoot the issue, and log the tickets during the non-business hours.
  • Maintain and manage the necessary SOP’s or reference documents and their renewal process.
Required Qualifications 
  • BSc degree in engineering or related disciplines
  • 6+ years of experience
  • Experience with Linux (RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu) administration including networking (TCP/IP, DNS )
  • Flexibility, adaptability and autonomy to explore different technical domains and solutions
  • Familiarity with OpenStack or other Cloud softwareExperience with monitoring services
