Primary Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable, and reliable Azure solutions using Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, and related tools.
• Optimize Azure performance and cost efficiency by recommending best practices for monitoring and management.
• Implement Data Vault 2.0 methodologies using Wherescape automation software.
• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and workflows, ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Optimize fact and dimension table models for efficient data storage and access.
• Formulate, review, and optimize SQL code for improved performance and scalability.
• Foster security best practices, access controls, and compliance standards for all data lake resources.
• Design and implement data acquisition, storage, and quality improvement processes.
• Deliver consumable data through the creation of information marts.
• Document data architectures, procedures, and troubleshooting methods clearly for team collaboration.
• Collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Minimum of 7 years of experience with large and complex database management systems.
• Expertise in Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, and related Azure data tools.
• Proficiency in Data Vault 2.0 methodologies and Wherescape automation software.
• Strong skills in designing, optimizing, and managing data pipelines and workflows.
• Expertise in SQL code formulation and optimization.
• Experience with data security best practices, access controls, and compliance standards.
• Proficiency in Python or PowerShell is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with both technical and non-technical teams.
