Data Architect

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect with strong expertise in Asset Management data, enterprise data architecture, data modeling, and data modernization. The ideal candidate will define data architecture strategies, lead enterprise data modeling initiatives, and modernize legacy data platforms into scalable, cloud-based solutions.

The role requires close collaboration with Asset Management, Investment Operations, Portfolio Management, Risk, Compliance, and Technology stakeholders to deliver scalable and governed data solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Define and implement enterprise data architecture and data strategies aligned with Asset Management business objectives.
• Lead conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling across investment, portfolio, security, client, and operational data domains.
• Design canonical and domain-specific data models supporting Portfolio Management, Investment Operations, Trading, Performance, Risk, and Reporting.
• Lead data modernization initiatives, including migration from legacy platforms to modern cloud-based data architectures.
• Define data integration, data governance, data quality, and metadata strategies.
• Develop scalable data architectures supporting analytics, reporting, and downstream applications.
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Evaluate existing data platforms and identify opportunities for modernization, simplification, and optimization.
• Establish data architecture standards, principles, patterns, and best practices.
• Support cloud adoption and migration strategies for enterprise data platforms.

Required Skills

• Strong experience as a Data Architect in Asset Management or Financial Services.
• Expertise in enterprise data architecture and data modeling.
• Strong understanding of investment, portfolio, security, trading, performance, risk, and client data.
• Hands-on experience with conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling.
• Experience leading legacy data modernization and cloud migration programs.
• Strong understanding of data integration, governance, quality, and metadata management.
• Experience designing scalable enterprise and cloud-based data architectures.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with modern cloud data platforms and data warehouses/lakehouses.
• Experience with large-scale Asset Management data transformation or modernization programs.
• Knowledge of investment management and asset servicing processes.
• Experience working across business, architecture, engineering, and technology teams.
