Key Responsibilities

• Collect data from a variety of sources such as databases, APIs, flat files, and external datasets.
• Identify and investigate anomalies or outliers in the data to ensure the integrity and reliability of findings.
• Develop and implement statistical models, hypothesis testing, and regression analyses to support business objectives.
• Analyze large datasets to generate actionable insights that can guide business strategies and improve operational efficiency.
• Create clear, compelling, and interactive data visualizations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio to communicate findings.
• Present findings, trends, and key insights to business leaders to help guide decision-making and strategic planning.
• Work closely with business teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and data needs.
• Develop and maintain data quality assurance processes to minimize errors and inconsistencies in reporting.
• Monitor the performance of data models and analysis techniques, identifying areas for optimization and improvement.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest tools, techniques, and best practices in data analysis, statistical modeling, and data visualization.

Primary Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency with visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Google Data Studio.
• Experience with data wrangling tools like OpenRefine, Trifacta, KNIME, and RapidMiner.
• Advanced skills in Excel for data manipulation and analysis, including pivot tables, advanced functions, and charts.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle.
• Experience working with APIs for data extraction and integration into data pipelines.
• Knowledge of version control systems like Git or SVN to manage and track changes in data and scripts.
• Familiarity with performance monitoring and optimization tools.
• Ability to analyze large datasets to identify key trends, insights, and business opportunities.
• Experience with data modeling and machine learning algorithms is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Business, Economics, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 8+ years of experience in data analysis or a related role, with a demonstrated ability to apply analytical techniques to real-world business problems.
