Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Couchbase clusters in production environments
• Administer backup, recovery, indexing, and XDCR across multiple data centers
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and apply tuning techniques
• Implement and manage Couchbase security, access control, and vulnerability patches
• Troubleshoot cluster issues, support incident resolution, and ensure high availability
• Work with architecture, application, and infrastructure teams on requirements
• Perform capacity planning, disaster recovery setup, and automation of routine tasks
• Maintain clear documentation of configurations, procedures, and best practices
• Provide on-call and rotational weekend support as needed
• Mentor junior team members and conduct knowledge transfer sessions

Required Skills

• 8+ years of hands-on experience with Couchbase administration
• Expertise in Couchbase architecture, cluster setup, XDCR, and indexing
• Proficient in backup & restore strategies and performance monitoring
• Experience with Couchbase security and patch management
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Good communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
• Scripting/automation experience for monitoring and maintenance tasks
