We are seeking a Controls Software Engineer with 5+ years of experience in the design and development of battery software and control systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in requirements management, Agile development, and battery management systems (BMS) for Energy Storage Solutions (ESS).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and release BMS software and control systems for Li-ion battery management.
• Lead development of battery algorithms for edge and cloud deployment, providing advanced controls and analytics.
• Manage the field data analytics team, creating tools and methodologies to report on battery system performance.
• Coordinate the development and release of BMS and analytics software.
• Collaborate with HW and SW engineers on developing HIL and SIL testing tools.
• Work with project/product management to track and maintain development schedules.
• Utilize requirements management and test tracking tools (Jira, Jama, Doors, TestRail).

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in battery software design and development.
• Proficiency with Agile development methods and requirements management tools.
• Experience with Battery Management System (BMS) and Energy Storage Solutions (ESS).
• Strong knowledge of hardware and software integration for control systems.
• Experience in HIL/SIL testing and battery analytics.
