Job Description
Required Technical / Functional Skills
  • Engine and Onboard Diagnostics (OBD) controls development experience
  • Controls modeling using MATLAB/Simulink, Stateflow, and auto-code generation
  • Experience with code coverage, static code analysis, and MIL/SIL/HIL validation
  • Experience developing Design Verification Plans (DVPs)
  • Strong understanding of embedded software architecture and development processes
  • Solid knowledge of automotive powertrain domain, engine control, and powertrain strategies
  • Familiarity with MISRA C and ASPICE development processes
  • Understanding of ICE, hybrid, and electric vehicles, and microcontroller platforms
  • Experience with automotive communication protocols: CAN, LIN, UDS, OBD-II

 

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Design and develop embedded control and diagnostic software for engine and powertrain systems using MATLAB Simulink and Stateflow
  • Implement and manage communication interfaces (CAN, LIN, J1939, UDS, OBD-II) between ECU and vehicle systems
  • Support software architecture development for AUTOSAR using SystemDesk
  • Lead and contribute to development activities within Agile/Lean-Agile SCRUM teams
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, calibration, systems, and vehicle integration
  • Provide prototype software generation and support for early validation
  • Participate in technical reviews and present feature updates to stakeholders
  • Produce and maintain control design documentation and specifications
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and coding guidelines (e.g., MISRA)
  • Support integration and troubleshooting during development and deployment phases
  • Author and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria
  • Perform unit, integration, and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing
